On waking at 5:30 in the morning, the sun was just about to come up, so I woke everyone else up . The view was spectacular! Only once did we spot some lava running down the volcano. Chastity made coffee, and we all stood around for over an hour staring at the cone. It was just beautiful, watching the smoke come out with the sun rising on it. We left at around 7:30 and stopped at the natural hot springs that flow from the volcano. There is a spot in the road where you can pull off and walk down to the river. The weather here was pretty cool, so a dip in the hot water was really nice. We got Brandon and Ork at the airport in plenty of time. We hugged and sent them off, sad that our Brandon and Oriana “TV” was now gone. We returned our big, nice SUV and got a much smaller car, a Nissan Almera – it’s comparable to the Altima. We didn’t get home until about 7pm.
